Pre-Employment Transition Services

Berks Personnel Network (BPN) is an approved provider of individual services for students' ages 14 through 21 years old.

Job Shadowing

BPN facilitates job shadowing experiences in occupations of interest within community-integrated settings. Students are provided opportunities to shadow employees in local businesses and obtain an overview of the knowledge, tasks, and abilities needed to work in the chosen careers.

Work-Based Learning Experiences

BPN supervises students in 90-hour paid work-based learning experiences in integrated environments in the community. Through the experiences, students gain knowledge and skills needed to obtain competitive integrated employment or transition to post-secondary training. BPN Employment Specialists support the students to learn the job tasks, ensure their safety, and assess their progress in developing appropriate workplace behaviors and employability skills.

The offices of Berks Personnel Network are open Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.  Appointments are suggested.
